Lessons are taught parent & child style, with emphasis on water acclimation, pool safety, and basic motor skills.
Lessons are recommended to be taught parent & child style, and focus on practicing basic water skills and navigating the aquatic environment.

Level 1 is where swimmers will focus on water acclimation, pool safety, as well as learn:

Level 2 is where swimmers will reinforce the skills built in level 1, as well as learn:
Bobbing 5 times
Tread water
Front crawl
Back crawl
Breaststroke
Level 3 is where swimmers will reinforce the skills built in level 2, as well as learn:
Rotary breathing
Tread water for 1 minute
Streamline dolphin kick
Scissor kick
Level 4 is where swimmers will reinforce the skills built in level 3, as well as learn:
Front & back crawl open turn
Tread water for 2 minutes
Streamline dolphin kick on back
Butterfly
Sidestroke
Level 5 is where swimmers will reinforce the skills built in level 4, as well as learn:
Tuck & pike surface dive
Front & backstroke flip turn
Tread water for 5 minutes
Level 6 is where swimmers will reinforce the skills built in level 5, as well as learn:
Sidestroke open turn
Butterfly turn
Breaststroke turn
Every lesson includes a variety of equipment to help support every swimmer in achieving their goals. Private, at-home lessons are ideal for those who need extra one-on-one time with an instructor. Additionally, a familiar environment can reduce anxiety and distractions during lessons. Because of the nature of lessons with Swim Lessons by Marena, any lesson can can be adapted to meet most swimmers' needs, however private and semi-private lessons are ideal for providing more one-on-one instruction and paced time to practice each skill as needed. Swimmers can incorporate learning strategies and tools from out of the pool into their lesson as well.
Each lesson is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, featuring a full set of swim equipment including floats belts, kickboards, pool noodles, bar floats, swim toys, goggles, and more.
Our adaptive curriculum is personalized to track and reward progress, ensuring that each swimmer advances at their own pace.
The program follows Red Cross standards in both water safety and swim skills, offering a safe and structured environment for all participants.
